Skipping Out and Catching UP

So, it's been a while! I am illiterate when it comes to running computers so if I were you, I would read this post and then skip down and read them from the bottom up.

Tuesday Kael had clinic & backpoke. I was anxious to see his Dr. and get her advice on sending him back to school. I didn't get to see his Dr. (this is becoming increasingly frustrating) so once again everything was very impersonable. This Dr. didn't seem concerned at all about sending him back to school as long as his counts were above .500. We went across the hall for the backpoke where the Nurse Practitioner was there to do the procedure. (AGGGHH) First poke wasn't in the right spot so she tried a second time. Got it. I asked her if he would have a bigger headache from being poked twice and she promised me that it wouldn't cause a headache. I knew better!! So frustrating! He fought a HUGE headache the rest of the day. He couldn't even set up without screaming from the pain. He finally threw-up around 9:00 p.m. and was a totally different kid after that. As for sending him back to school, (he was up to .800) I have talked to a few teachers (from different schools) and they have warned me to keep him home a little bit longer. I will talk with his teacher this week and assess the situation. Sonnie helped me last week with him and says he is doing fine so I guess I am not as big a hurry to get him back. As hard as it has been, it has also been a little rewarding to work with him here at home. I try to see more learning opportunities in the day to day things. I see the progress he has made the past few weeks in just understanding concepts. What he doesn't understand one day, clicks with him the next. This is a great PATIENCE lesson for me!!

I have been feeling a little under the weather the past few days. As I sit here and update, Matti has drawn me a pic and written a poem for me:

Sickness
When I am sick
I feel like a stick
I sniffle, groan, and even moan.
I have a cough and that's not the end
cause a few months later,
it starts all over again!
Thanks Lala!!
So along with my head cold, body aches, and chills, I have a fever. SPRING FEVER!! I am not necessarily looking forward to yardwork and everything else that comes with spring - just the nicer weather!! HELP!

Valentines

We had dinner with Matt's family on Sunday. Delicious food and good company . . . it doesn't get any better than that!

Grandpa's Buddy. Kael has been able to spend a few Sunday afternoon's with Grandpa and Grandma these past few months. He even gets dinner with Grandma-Great. Lucky!!

Grandma's 85th 4

Grandma with 8 of her 9 children. She also has 52 grandkids and as of last count 81 great-grandkids. I think she is probably done with grandkids but as far as great-grands - well, there's plenty more where that comes from!

I am so glad we made an effort to be there for such a great celebration. I am so thankful for all of those that made it all possible. THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!

I have many great memories of my Grandma and Grandpa Hunt. My Grandma is the greatest example of unconditional love, everywhere that Grandpa went, Grandma was only a few steps behind. I never heard my Grandma refer to my Grandpa as "Grandpa". She always called him by his full name, "Bill Hunt". Bill Hunt needs this . . . or Bill Hunt says that. Classic! My siblings, cousins, and I spent many days riding in the back of the camper on our way to Cedar Mtn. or Jackson Wash to herd or check on cattle, Grandpa just a truck & trailer ahead of us. Grandma always had lunch (complete with a Pepsi and a Keebler cookie) for all the hired hands and a little bit of Dan Seals playing on the radio! She was even the pick-up lady when horses were a little to fresh to ride or if one just up and ran away with us. She would always take pictures of Grandpa, the cows, and the landscape and then go home and paint them. She is such a talented, patient, selfless woman whom I am proud to call GRANDMA!!

Grandma's 85th 2

Aunt Marita and Uncle Mark. (Aggie Alum!!! whoot whoot!!)

This was about 15 minutes into the party. I knew she wasn't feeling well to fall asleep in a chair in the middle of everything. She was sick the rest of the trip and out of school for a week! (sorry to those of you we shared it with)

Randi and Warren

Aunt Darla. I think she made the biggest effort to come. She lives in Twin Falls and had kids in basketball Friday night. She arrived at my moms about 4:00 p.m. on Saturday and had to leave by 8:00 p.m. to make it back to Stake Conf. so one of her boys could speak. Dedication!!

Grandma's 85th

Grandma Hunt turned 85 in January! Here is a sneak-peak into the party we had for her. My mom and dad told her they were going to pick her up and take her out to dinner for her birthday. She wasn't sure why they ended up at the church and was so suprised to see everyone there!

One GREAT woman!! Those hands have prepared many meals, painted many pictures, made many wedding cakes (including most of her grandkids'), and dipped thousands of chocolates!! WE LOVE YOU GRANDMA!!

Tad (always has a suspicious look on his face!)

T and Merr enjoying a little kick-back time:)

MOM's Birthday

We had one big BIRTHDAY party for all of the birthday's in January while at my parent's. We had a 50's theme and the kids dressed us and looked so cute. The adults were suppose to dress-up too. Some did, some didn't but this pic says it all. Oh ya, we pulled out the . . .

polyester and Wade was the guinea pig!! So classic. The funniest part about it is there is still a guy in my home ward that wears them. Serious! Thanks for the entertainment Wade, Merr, and Denny!!

Happy Birthday to you . . . ALL!

Matti's Birthday

WOW! Nine years ago I became a mom!! What a happy day in my life and what an awesome daughter she is! Matti is a great friend to so many and loves school. She has a huge heart and takes care of her little brothers every chance she gets. (She always reminds me that I don't know what it is like to grow up with just brothers!) She is a great help around the house and is always the first to get her chores done. She LOVES sweets, writing and reading books, all things horses, and music. WE LOVE YOU SIS!

Trying to play keep-away from Matt.

Grandma-Great
