Labas (hello)

The past two days were extremely short. I don't know if we should tell on ourselves like this but I do want to look back and laugh!!  We were all awake at 3:00 am (6:00 pm corny-town). We checked emails, Facebook, and messages. Giggled and laughed for a bit and I fell back asleep. I was aware that a few people showered. We all commented how hungry we were. Then the sleep coma set in . . . On all of us. We woke up at 1:00 pm (4:00 am corny-town).   They all insist it is my fault. Making some good memories! Kael also cracked a funny but may not be appropriate for this setting.

Here we are at the top of the Gedimino Castle Tower, great shot of Vilnius from here.  It must have been field trip day. There were a few students!! We took a taxsi (taxi) from our hotel and passed the old mission home office.

We are having a blast!  Thirsty and hungry but having fun!!  Here is St. Anne's church. The kids eyes have been opened to different religions. Matt says when they would trac, investigators would ask what church they meet in. When he would tell them the top of a store it wouldn't go over to well. The churches here are beautiful and plentiful. I can't wait to meet with the members.

A few words I recognize: resteraunase, optical,  gynocolojos. Matt was going to buy me an amber (very popular) necklace. He thought the woman said $17Lt. ($7) He pulled out his money to pay her and she was offended. She said $70Lt.($35)!!  We walked away and I laughed!!  He is getting thrown right back into the language!!

. . . And then, there are the Golden Arches!!!  So excited to see them!!  For sure the culture here is a nice, WARM, drink.  Not sure I can get used to it!

Pretty sweet McDonalds if you ask me!!  Matt and Kael had to use the womens restroom . . . interesting!!
