We made it!!

A member met us at the airport and delivered us to our hotel.  Very aggressive driving here!!  

I am having a hard time staying awake. Matt let me sleep for a minute while he arranged a different room for us.  Apparently two beds mean twin size here!  And power is a premium. We have to put our room key in to activate it.  A lot has changed in 18 years Matt says. We walked a few blocks to try and exchange money but all the banks were closed. (Good morning to all of you by the way!). We found a pizza place to eat at. Good food just not enough for all of us, no coke and no ice!!!  (i could probably do without the coke but not the ice!) We made our way to the hypermarket (basically smith's) - Matt says these did not exist when he was here before - grabbed some snacks and headed back to our room. I may or may not have fallen asleep at the dinner table!!  Here are a few of my initial thoughts. I'm anxious to see how they change throughout my time here: laughter is a universal language, certain Shauna would have not let her son come here had she had the opportunity to visit beforehand!  I am anxious to meet members and get out into the country.
